Loy Krathong 2010 - Ayutthaya, Thailand
During the full moon of November, Thai people go to the rivers to give thanks for water and for the end of the monsoon season. It is the beginning of newness. Krathongs are circles of coconut trees decorated with banana leaves, flowers, and are complete with incense and candles. Thai people make wishes, send good thoughts, and give prayers as they place these beautiful offerings into the rivers all over the country. The evening is filled with the tiny lights and temple incense. Thai people celebrate the new season coming with festivals, parties, stage presentations, traditional music, and of course, tons of amazing foods… Enjoy the film!
